My doctor advised me to lose weight because of my blood pressure being high. I am 59 years old and have carried and extra 30 pounds since I had my children, which is around 30 years. My sister is a health coach for Medi-fast. She hooked me up with the program and I tried it. Over the course of around 3 months I was able to lose 20 pounds. My blood pressure went down to normal, I cut my meds in half, I have started going to curves 3 to 4 times a week. I feel wonderful. I wasn't hugely over weight. I was plumply over weight. I am only 5 foot tall and on someone that short 20 pounds makes a huge difference. Losing that 20 pounds was a big challenge for me, but the Medi-fast program helped me a lot and having a health coach along the way was invaluable. Starting an exercise program after I lost the weight helped a lot for my general feeling of well-being also. Approaching 60 doesn't feel or look so bad now!
